Hongkie Day 2
Hongkie Day 2Woke up very early for our Morning Dim sum which is located near our hotel recommended by the recep. Fyi, our hotel was not inclusive of daily morning breakfast, coz we wan be local!

Our morning breakfast....See the elderly having their breakfast, read newspaper on a weekday morning. i cant recall the name of the restaurant, cant google it either =( But the breakfast is so so only, u can give it a miss!
Here we set off for our day 2 itinerary to see the Big Buddha....
We took the MTR to Tung Chung and took a bus (approx 40 mins) up to Lautau Island. U can choose to take cable car (approx 30 mins) up.

We spent half a day at Lautau Island to visit the Great Buddha and Po Lin Monastery where we settled our vegeterian lunch.

Nong ping village 360 is the place where u can buy souvenirs and also some restaurant and cafes

The guys playing while the gals selecting their gloves. Is COLD up there... !!!

Our vergeterian Lunch. We took the best lunch set that cost us about HKD 100.
On our way to the gigantic Big Buddha
Time to leave....

We took the cable car down at HKD 74
On our way down in cable car, there is this helpful lady with us, she is also the cable car station staff. She told us some of the famous places to shop and eat. Is funny to listen their conversations coz is like duck and chicken communicating. hahaha!!

There is a BIG shopping centre, city gate at the terminal there. Is one of the outlet shops. Many recommended this shopping centre that sell cheap branded stuff. Jas bought alot. Maybe im on budget, only managed to get a nice wind breaker for the cold weather there. so happy!

3 hrs in that shopping centre!!! oh gosh... our legs were breaking!
Took a cab back to hotel to put other stuff. Now saying about hk cab, it is worth it for short distance. For long distance journey, your heart will beat with the meter. No Joke! The cab started off with around HKD 12 for the first 2 km before it starts to jump like mad.
For our dinner, we randomly walked into this cafe, Satay King 沙嗲王. The food were delicious, thou i find it alil salty. Their coffee milk tea... Slurp!!! Really nice! The cafe was decorated to pirates theme, pretty cool! There are many outlets around in Hk. We visited this cafe twice at different location in Jorden and Causeway bay. We prefer Jorden's outlet. :)

End of Day 2!
